| George Jackson of Llanrwst Cica 1795-1800 .
Extremely unusual and rear clock by George Jackson of Llanrwst later of Dolgellau , in a study carried out some 20 years ago on Llanrwst clocks there is mention of George Jackson were they say that they have only come across 4 Jackson clocks on their travels with one being a brass dial this one is not the one they have seen the other 3 being white dials .
The dial is beautifully engraved by what seems to be the same engraver used by Watkin Owen of Llanrwst the chapter ring in unusual as it has the name Margret Jones engraved onto it which adds a nice personal touch to the clock .
The case is beautifully proportioned with a flat top and is Oak with mahogany crossbanding its quality is outstanding as would be fitting for a clock specifically made as a gift to a wife or daughter .
The 8 day works striking hourly on the single bell it's hood with glazed door flanked by reeded columns and brass caps above long crossbanded door again flanked by quarter cut columns these with brass caps , above base with cantered corners and shaped slap on crossbanded panel with corner fan inlays standing on ogee bracket feet .
