Yew Wood Windsor Child's Chair Circa 1830 .

Here we have a stunning Windsor Child's Chair beautifully made and incorporating all the design and style of a full size Windsor chair .
The hooped back is supported by a central pierced shaped back-slatflanked by spindles with the arms supported by bobbin turned supports .
The turned legs are joined by a Crinoline stretcher the misconception being that the stretchers keep the legs together in fact they are in place to keep the legs splayed to the right angles fore and aft  as well as side to side this will give actual visual and visual support the person sitting in the chair .

The most important part of the chair is the seat these are often made from Elm because the interlocking grain gives extra strength and resists splitting the also have a saddle or are dished for comfort .

This beautiful petite chair stands at just 25 inches in height and shows the craftsman ability of perfectly with his choice of Yew wood which gives off such a striking deep rich  colour .

Size :Height 25 inches x Width 17 inches x Depth 11 inches .

Price £575 .
